Homies of Horror

Spoilers ahead homies!! We hope you all are ready to get a little weird, cause we're going back to high school and feeling Freaky(2020). This horror comedy tries its hand at a couple different genres, but is it successful at any of them? You will get to find out all kinds of little secrets about Erika in this episode, while Roshane critiques some fashion decisions.  

Spoilers we will speak of henceforth! Today we are traveling over the river and through the woods, to The Village(2004) we go! This is our first M. Night Shyamalan film on the podcast, and so you already know this episode is going to have some twists and turns. Did we enjoy our visit to this village? Or were we ready to escape back to modern times? Later, Erika is a true romantic, while Roshane questions some marketing decisions.

You homies know we've been eagerly anticipating this one, but did it ease our craving?? Or were we left wanting more? Erika and Roshane compare their movie going experiences, and then one of Roshane's dormant fears comes to the surface.

This movie had Roshane doing a double take, so we had to cover it this week! Is this movie a wish come true for us, or were we ready to wish it away?  Later, Erika and Roshane question the amount of tentacles in this movie.

So today we're asking you to be our victim for our latest episode on Candyman (1992). We had to get some help for this episode and invited our friend and fellow horror lover Nate Treadwell on to discuss this iconic character. Nate tells a tale about Tony Todd while Erika reveals a toilet fear. Were we hooked on this movie? Tune in now to find out!

That's right, we're talking about Army of the Dead (2021) the zombie heist movie neither one of us saw coming. This movie boasts a looooooong runtime, but is it worth it? Later, we both have beef with a specific character and Erika reflects on a high school memory. 

Very quiet spoilers ahead, homies!!! Ahead of the release of the sequel, we're breaking in and breaking down 2016's, Don't Breathe. We're finishing up our Summer picks with a very tense and unexpected home invasion movie! Did this move have us holding our breathe? Or we're we sighing in frustration? Roshane wonders what a million dollars feels like while Erika has a music recommendation.

Spoilers ahead homies!!! As the summer continues on, we're cautiously heading back into the woods to discuss The Ritual (2017)! There's some creepy stuff a brewing in the woods within this film, but is it enough to keep us interested? Does this movie do enough to stand apart from the other "lost in the woods" horror movies? Also, Roshane is willing to risk his life for some jewelry while Erika sings a creepy children's song! 

Spoilers slithering your way, homies!! We couldn't resist visiting another 90's animal attack staple, Anaconda! This is one of those movies that is a blast to talk about, so get ready as we laugh our way through the Amazon. Erika discusses her newfound hobby and Roshane has to wonder why the jungle makes people so horny. Listen now homies!! 

Spoilers ahead homies!! Today we're continuing our ghost hunt through the Conjuring Universe and discussing The Conjuring 2. The Warren's are back in full force and ready to take on some new demons. Does this movie hold up to the first one for us? Or should they have packed up their equipment and stayed home? Roshane continues his Ouija board beef and Erika swipes right on a demon.
